A Beginners' Jewellery Making course is being held on Saturday June 21st at Fisherton Mill in Salisbury. This course teaches you how to make either a silver ring or a domed and shaped silver pendant - the choice is yours! (please see a sample of the ring on the right side of the ‘Contact Us’ page of this site. On the same page you'll see a sample of the pendant on the left).

During the course, if you decide to make a silver ring, you will be shown how to work out the size, you'll cut out the piece of silver, form the piece into a ring shape, solder - file and polish. If you would like to make the pendant you will design your pendant and transfer your design to the silver and learn how to cut out the silver. You’ll dome the piece and shape the edges, polish and finish – leaving you with a lovely, well designed pendant that you’ve made yourself!

The day costs £48.00. This price includes the silver. Chains are available to purchase.

The course runs from 10.30 a.m. until 3.30 p.m. (approx).

There is a great restaurant at Fisherton Mill, and students often chose to have lunch there – which can be booked when you arrive.

Courses are also run in Tisbury as required. If you and a friend or two would like to make some jewellery, please give me a call and we'll see if we can arrange a suitable date and time. The course details are: Silver ring making (10am-3pm) £45, Silver link bracelet making, 2 sessions of 3 hours £68, Silver domed and shaped earrings (10-2pm) £38 and Silver pendant making (10-3pm) £45. The prices include all materials (apart from a chain for the pendant).

A Beginners' Ring Making Course is being held on Saturday 13th September 2008 at The Workshop in Tisbury. During this course you can make a lovely silver ring from scratch, learning how to measure and cut the silver, to solder and to file and finish. The course costs £45 including all materials.
